Dave and Vickie Knitter met at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento and were married a year later. They both began their careers at firms in Sacramento. After they started a family, Vickie took some time off to raise their four children.
Dave began a solo practice and continued it for eight years before joining a prominent law firm in Napa. He spent another eight years there as a partner, as founder and chair of the firm's trust and estate litigation department. In 2006, Dave and Vickie opened Knitter & Knitter, LLP. Dave was named Attorney of the Year in 2007 by the Solano County Bar Association.
In addition, Dave has presented locally and nationally for organizations, including California Continuing Education of the Bar, the California Administrative Office of the Courts and the Elder Financial Protection Network, as well as local bar associations, civic and professional groups. In November 2009, he participated in a statewide training of California Court Investigators and presented on undue influence and elder abuse. An advocate of elder rights and protection, Dave was honored by the State of California and other political bodies for founding Solano FAST, a multidisciplinary team of private and public sector professionals formed to combat elder abuse. Dave is a former member of the NAELA Advocacy and Litigation Committee qualified for inclusion in the experience registry in several areas.
Dave and Vickie provide experienced, responsive legal service in the areas of estate and probate litigation, will and trust contests, probate administrations, elder abuse, and business and real estate litigation.
